This impressive operation is headed up by the talented duo of Simon Cowham and Corey Ryan. Simon is in control of the vineyards and Corey is the head of winemaking. Both have an impressive set of resumes and come to the business with tons of experience. Cowham has worked as a viticulturist for Yalumba and also runs a successful management and consultancy company. Ryan has made wine for such names as Henschke, Penfolds and Villa Maria and in 2007 was named New Zealand Winemaker of the Year by Winestate Magazine. They focus on Barossa Grenache, Shiraz and Mouvedre as well as Eden Valley Riesling. This professional team wants to focus on the impressive estate vineyards as well as utilizing some of the most interesting Barossa sub-regions. The winemaking style can best be described as “restrained”, with a definite preference to let the fruit speak for itself. They are good guys too.
